Microneedling is one of the most effective advanced treatments I offer for rebuilding and refreshing the skin. if you've ever wondered how it works or what to expect, let's break it down step by step.
What Is Microneedling?
The Microneedling device I use in the studio is a handheld motorized pen with a sterile, disposable needle tip. This device creates hundreds of controlled micro-channels in your skin. These tiny punctures stimulate your skin's natural healing response, boosting collagen and elastin production - the fibers that keep skin firm, smooth and resilient.
Right after your treatment, you skin will look pink to red, similiar feel to a mild sunburn. This is the expected outcome. As your skin repair itself, you'll notice it becoming smoother, brighter and looking refreshed.
What Microneedling Can Do For Your Skin
It is like giving your skin a gentle wake-up call - it helps your natural repair processess kick in and encourages collagen production. It's ideal for anyone who wants to improve their skin in a noticeable and natural way.
Here are issues it can help improve:
- Acne scars, pitting & other surface scarring: the induction of collagen fills and smoothes the areas.
- Fine Lines & wrinkles: improves and strenths connective tissue
- Hyperpigmentation: skin repair can promote a balanced complexion
- Stretch marks: reduces the appearance
- Hair thinning; stimulates foundation for growth
- Enlarged pores: tightens pores and collagen can fill the gap
- Overall texure and tone of the skin
In short, microneedling is perfect if you want refreshed skin, minimized imperfections and a healthy glowing look from within.
Who Microneedling Isn't Right For
While it's safe for most people, there are some situation where it's better to choose a different approach or wait until the skin is at a healthy balanced state.
- Active or uncontrolled skin issues like severe acne, dermatitis, or psoriasis
- Cold sore breakout
- Bleeding or clotting disorder or on blood thinning medications
- Immune system issues - sickness, compromised immune system or auto immune diseases
- History of keloid scarring
- Certain skin cancers or history of poor wound healing
- Pregnant or breastfeeding
Before any session I'll check in with you about your skin and health history to make sure microneedling is the right fit. That way we can safely tailor your treatment and get the best possible results.

What to Expect During & After Treatment •
During your session: I’ll cleanse your skin. The microneedling device is gently passed across your skin — most clients describe it as a light buzzing or scratching sensation. Numbing cream is available if needed, but often isn’t necessary. • Immediately after: Skin will look pink or flushed, similar to a mild sunburn. You may feel a little tight or warm for a few hours. • First few days: Skin can feel dry, sensitive, or slightly rough as it begins repairing itself. • By the end of the first week: Most clients notice their skin looking fresher, smoother, and more radiant. Results continue to improve over several weeks, with full effects often visible up to six months. • With a full series: You’ll see even more visible improvements in tone, texture, and firmness as new collagen continues building.
Why a Series of Treatments Matters
One session gives your skin a boost, but microneedling works best as a series of 3–6 sessions, spaced 4–6 weeks apart. Each session builds on the last, gradually strengthening and improving your skin. After completing a series, occasional maintenance treatments every 6–12 months help preserve your results.
